À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Sharon Claire Brouwer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Claire Brouwer (McFall) on September 30, at the age of 66, surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was the devoted wife of Rob Brouwer, and loving mother to Reece (Victoria) and Spencer (Jaslyn) Brouwer, who were the light and purpose of her life. Sharon’s love for her children knew no limits, and she instilled in them the determination and strength that defined her own life. Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Claire Denise Lavoie and John Reginald Mervyn McFall, as well as her dear brothers James “Jimmy”, Brian, and Steve McFall.

Sharon will be remembered for her unwavering strength, resilience, and the deep love she held for her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th at 1:30 p.m. at the Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans, with a celebration of Sharon’s life to follow until 4:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honour of her life. For those not able to attend the service in person, you may join the livestream.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
For those wishing to do so, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Sharon’s memory.

Dear Shar,

My fondest memories of my childhood were with you. You were like my other sister. We had so much fun playing with our Barbies, signing, riding our bikes and doing odd jobs for your mom so we could go to Belmont Park and so many other things. My parents thought of you as their third daughter. You brought some much love and joy into our lives. You will be deeply missed in our hearts 💞.

I am blessed to have had a very special and dear lifelong friendship with Sharon. An unbreakable bond.
I could probably write a book on “The Adventures of Shar & Car” a.k.a. Thelma and Louise, although I don’t think we ever agreed on who was who.
I’m going to miss her like crazy, a void never to be filled. Forever in my heart.
Rest in peace my friend. I’m sure your Mom, Dad, and your brothers are happy to see you in heaven.
I love you, Car 💕

It is great sadness the passing of Sharon , my condolences to Rob and family.
I know Sharon since she was born and she became like another daughter to us and special friend to our 2 daughters, Carolyn and Rosemary. During the summer months she was at our house playing Barbie’s, games or out in the pool! Later Carolyn and she were together whenever possible visiting or traveling to Florida in the winter with their spouses!
Now she will be with her family in heaven and our blessed Lord!

Rob, we are so sorry to hear about Sharon. We had the pleasure of chatting with her while visiting Florida and will always remember her friendliness and big smile when speaking proudly of her sons. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Our condolences to Rob, Spencer, and Reece and extended family. May your good memories see you through this time.

Dear Rob, Reece and Spencer. I don’t even know how to begin… I am beyond sad. I shared so many fun memories with Sharon from the early years of high school. Claire and Merv’s home was my sanctuary. Sharon’s friendship was my safe place. I know how much she loved her life and cherished her family. She will be missed. I know that heaven got just a bit louder when she walked in. Rest in peace and love my Sharon. Until we meet again.

Our deepest sympathies to Rob, Reece and Spencer. Sharon was a special person. She had a heart of gold. She also loved a good themed party. We will never forget her excellent sense of humour and her laugh. Sharon left a beautiful legacy.
Love to her family.

I always considered Sharron as Jazz’s sister — a wonderful woman who was ALWAYS there for her. She will be deeply missed. Thinking of you in these difficult times.

Rob, Reece and Tori, Spencer and Jazlyn, the celebration of life was truly beautiful and deeply moving.

Reece and Spencer your words were filled with warmth and love, and Rob, your own reflections captured Sharon’s generous spirit and the profound love she had for you and your family.

The messages left on Sharon’s tribute wall are a testament to the many lives she touched—each one so heartfelt and sincere. Sharon’s kindness and influence extended far beyond what words can capture.

Her grace, laughter, quick wit, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends shone through in everything she did. She was truly a remarkable soul whose love and light live on in all who knew her.

May her beautiful spirit continue to shine in our hearts, and may you find comfort in the love and memories you shared.

Sending you all my love and support during this difficult time.
