À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Peggy Withers (Schierz)
Passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 68. Daughter of the late Max Schierz and the late Gudula Berndt. Beloved wife of Stephen Withers for nearly 50 years. Loving mother of Lindsay Withers (Neil Sauvé) and proud grandmother to her cherished granddaughter, Harlyn.
Peggy will be deeply missed by her sister Anita Schierz and her children, Christopher and Geneviève, as well as by her brother Glen (Lee-Ann Scott) and his children, Amy and Jordan. She will also be fondly remembered by her mother-in-law, Mrs. June Withers, her in-laws, their families, and many dear friends.
Peggy had a gift for finding beauty in life’s simple joys. She found peace and happiness in her garden, where she nurtured flowers with love and care. When she wasn’t tending to her garden, she could often be found out shopping with a keen eye for something special—whether a thoughtful gift or a little treasure for herself.
Above all, Peggy will be remembered for her remarkable strength and unwavering spirit. To her family, she was a fighter in every sense of the word—the strongest woman they knew—whose courage and resilience inspired all who loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Heritage Funeral Complex on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A short blessing in Peggy’s honour will be held at 12 noon, followed by a light luncheon where the family looks forward to sharing wonderful memories of their beloved Peggy.
In memory of Peggy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
