À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Jennifer Lynn Esther Paquette (Jenn)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer « Jenn » Paquette (née Séguin), who left us far too soon on August 9, 2025, just days after celebrating her 40th birthday. Jenn passed away suddenly following chemotherapy treatment for leukemia — a diagnosis she had received only days earlier. Her final hours were spent surrounded by family; she left this world knowing she was deeply loved.
Jenn’s life was defined by her unwavering devotion to family. She was the beloved wife of René and the proud, adoring mother of Millie (6) and Ashton (5). She loved her children more than anything in this world and worked tirelessly to ensure they always had what they needed — from supporting their participation in various activities to being their greatest cheerleader after every milestone.
Jenn was predeceased by her father, Claude Séguin, and will be forever loved by her mother Sharlene Séguin (Philbert), stepmother Karen Séguin (Gasmo), half-sister Michelle (Kurt), sister Kimberly (Justin), brothers Christopher (Christel) and David (Shanisse), and stepsister Merah (Collin). She will also be fondly remembered by her many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
A dedicated professional, Jenn built a career at Ontario Health atHome, where her work ethic, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit earned the admiration of all who worked with her. She had a rare gift for making others feel truly seen and valued, approaching every challenge with grace, courage, and kindness. In her various circles, many shared that she was always there to guide them through hard times, offering comfort, encouragement, and unconditional love. She had an extraordinary ability to brighten any room she entered, filling it with laughter, warmth, and compassion. Her unwavering love will be deeply missed, yet her spirit and legacy will live on through her children and continue to inspire all who knew her.
A Celebration of Jennifer’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Heritage Funeral Complex in Ottawa (1250 Trim Road). Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a service at 11:30 a.m., and a reception with food and beverages from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to the GoFundMe page established in Jenn’s memory, which will help support René, Millie, and Ashton. Your generosity will ensure stability, opportunity, and moments of joy for her children in the years ahead — just as Jenn would have wanted.
Rest peacefully, Jenn. Your love, light, and radiant spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who love you.

Dear Sharlene, Kimberly, Chris and Dave, we were so shocked and saddened to hear of Jennifer’s passing. Our most heartfelt condolences to you and your family. We remember Jennifer fondly from the « Seguin triplets » hockey playing years. Hoping that the happy memories of those days will someday replace the sadness and grief you are feeling today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Take good care.

Jennifer was such a joy to work with. While I hadn’t worked with her in recent years I remember how fun , cheerful and eager she was to do a great job. Something I am sure she learned that from her amazing mom. She was special and stood out as an amazing example for us all. I was so sadden when I heard about Jenn’s passing. My deepest condolences and prayers to Sharlene and the entire family
Je crois avoir enseignée à Jennifer à la maternelle de l’école Préseault. Si oui, je suis attristée d’apprendre son décès. Mes condoléances le plus sincères sont envoyées à KImberley, Christopher and David.
