À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Gerald (Gerry) Lafleur
Gerry lost his battle with cancer on December 10, 2025. We lost an avid golfer and a good man. Gerry enjoyed the great camaraderie of his golf friends, they were his second family. Gerry leaves behind his loved wife Madeleine (Charlebois). Father of Roger (Kate Watson), Denise (Cory Lusk). Stepfather to Brent and Lee-Ann Russell (Nasser Daher). Grandpapa to Noah, Keira, Blake and Sloane. Also, survived by his brothers Georges and Jean and he was loved and cherished by his many brother-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
We also wish to thank Doctor Fulcher’s Hematology Team at the General Hospital and Doctor Vincent’s team at the Maison de l ’Est Hospice, we could not of asked for better care. Thank you.
Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a Celebration of Life later on.
Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society : https://cancer.ca/en/ways-to-give/personal-donation

Grosse immense caresse xoxo
To Madeleine and the family it is a great loss we suffer. Having Gerry gone the friends lose a caracter guy that can make people laugh even in the worst of times. Coffee at the mall won’t be the same without him.

Condolences to Madeleine and family. Gerry was a great guy.
So so sorry to hear about Gerry’s passing. My dearest condolences to Madeleine, Denise and the Lafleur family. Gerry was much loved and he will be missed.
Will miss Gerry, not only because he was a great brother in law but because he was also a great friend. Many good days on the golf course, both here in Ottawa but also playing in Florida. For many of those years we partnered in the Waterlefe member-guest, Gerry bringing his very good golf game and me just trying to keep up. So much fun, not only at the tournament but always on the Saturday night with competitors and our wives. Francine and Madeliene all dressed up and looking fine. We will surely miss Gerry lots. I will think of Gerry and his solution for #15, our hardest par 3 at Waterlefe, he offered that this hole could use a good “bull dozer”, it would improve our chances at par.
R.I.P. Gerry, hope you have lots of “birdies” up there, certain that you will keep sipping on the “birdie juice” often!
Gerry, I was so sad to hear of your illness and that we knew nothing of it. We only saw each other every few years at family events and the last time I spoke to you was exactly about that. We always had such great laughs about family stories that were maybe not supposed to be told, with the parents there… I have only great memories of you and my heart is broken at this loss. I hope you will now join all the friends and family members and maybe invite them all to a game of golf or two. Love you greatly and Madeleine. Ta cousine Carole Duquette
