À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Genevieve Beliveau
Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Genevieve Beliveau (McCraw) passed away on October 22nd following a lengthy battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 26 years, Greg. She was a proud mother to her two children, Gavin and Erin. A dear sister to Steve, Liane (JC), and Lori. A dear sister-in-law to Cindy (Don). She is leaving behind many nieces and nephews. Daughter to Kathleen Maloney and predeceased by her father Lane McCraw.
Gen was strong, thoughtful, and selfless. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with family, chatting with friends, reading a good book and sitting by the fireplace with her dog, Charlie. While we are saddened by her passing we celebrate her life and appreciate the time we had with her.
Friends and family are invited to the Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orléans, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. A Memorial Mass will take place at 2 p.m, followed by a reception. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, 2757 St. Joseph Blvd, Orléans on Thursday, November 6th, 2025 at 2p.m.
In memoriam, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her name.

Our fondest memories of times with Gen were when we visited family in Ottawa. My children remember Gen as fun loving and playful as they enjoyed a happy time all together with her siblings at their home in Touraine. Another occasion was when Gen, her Mom, Dad and brother came on a holiday to Powell River, here in B.C. We’re grateful, never to forget having had those precious times of family togetherness.
I’m very proud of my niece, Gen, who was kind, warm, a good and brave soul to be admired. She will forever be near and dear to my heart.
Sincere Condolences, with Prayers and Peace to Greg, Gavin, Erin, and to all Gen’s family and friends,
Love
Aunt Colleen,
Cousins, Warren, Julie, Angela & Janet
I am deeply saddened to hear of Genevieve’s passing. It was a pleasure to work with her. She was my right hand and I could always count on her. I remember her spirit and shinning smile.
My heart goes out to her family during this difficult time.
My condolences to Greg, Gavin, Erin and family. Gen was an amazing person and co-worker. She was so smart and kind to everyone. I really enjoyed our lunches together; she often talked about how proud she was of Gavin and Erin. She really loved them so much. She will be deeply missed.
Genevieve was one of the kindest and most selfless people I’ve had the privilege to work with. She was hardworking, compassionate, and truly cared about those around her. I will always remember her kindness and the light she brought to our team and will miss connecting for catchup chats. Sending my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Greg, Erin and Gavin and all those who knew and loved her.
When people define family for me this represents Gen, she was my sister.
We met when I was sixteen, she was my manager at Warren’s house of britches..she was tough, but we shared so many laughs , we developed this friendship that continued to grow over the years.
Gen was the kind of person that was always kind, provide advice, a caring individual a friend that I will miss tremendously .
We shared so many adventures, ( trying ) to rollerblade on the Rideau canal, hope beach volley ball, spa days , shopping trips. bbq.s It was never a dull moment.
I remember when Greg and Gen brought Gavin home for the first time, he sat in the car seat and they waited to see what happens next.
At Greg and Gen wedding we danced to the YMCA and Greg’s brothers in law Don put on a child’s police helmet and it got stuck , gosh we would laugh as we always reminisce about these times.
I was truly blessed to have Gen in my life.
I am so sad to be writing a memory rather than celebrating and making more memories.
I love you Gen , I will miss you so much !
I look forward to you visiting in a different way❤️
