À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE AJ. Plant
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Albert James Plant, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on June 9, 2025, at the age of 52. AJ fought hard for 20 months battling brain cancer and is now resting at peace with the Lord.
AJ. was a remarkable man. He was a dedicated and passionate advocate for his faith, his family and his community. His family was his greatest accomplishment, and all who knew him know what a proud Papa and Husband he was. Next to his faith, they were the driving force behind everything he did. He is beloved by all those that had the opportunity of truly knowing him. He generously gave of his time to coaching, volunteering, and growing many businesses from the ground up. He was a respected leader in the Real Estate community and many local community associations, including the greater hockey community and owner of the Flames de Gatineau. AJ wholeheartedly gave his time and attention to all those around him and never turned away someone in need of support. He will truly be missed.
He was the beloved son of Gary and the late Noreen Plant (née Provost). In addition to his father, he is survived by the love of his life, Chantal (née Pelletier); his cherished children, Francis, Helenna, Emillia and Quinn; his beloved siblings, Maynard (Kanae), Linette (Mike), Father Gerard, Blaise (Kana) and Erin (Jason); and his dear nieces and nephews, MacKinleigh, Makiya, Noah, Trinity, Elisha, Nia, Valentine and Penelope and his dog Hunter.
He will also be missed by his in-laws, Richard and Nicole Pelletier, his sisters-in-law, Jacinthe (Nicolas) and Caroline (Jean-Claude), and his dear nephew and nieces, Frédérique, Vincent, Elisabeth and Catherine.
AJ. is also survived by his uncles, aunts, cousins, “his Exit Family” and many devoted friends.
The family will welcome you at the Heritage Funeral Complex, located at 1250 Trim Road, Orléans (ON), on Friday, June 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Divine Infant Catholic Church, 6658 Bilberry Drive, Orléans (ON).
AJ. had a deep commitment to the well-being of others and was always willing to give his time and resources especially for those in need of support. His desire to contribute to the community led him to establish the AJ Plant Commemorative Foundation. In honor of his memory, the family kindly suggests that you continue his legacy of generosity by considering a donation to The AJ Plant Commemorative Fund.
I wish I could say something to ease your sorrow. My thoughts are with you.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Plant Family.
Although a longtime friend of both Maynard and Blaise, I met AJ only once at Blaise’s wedding. Despite our first time meeting, AJ was warm and welcoming as if I was another one of his brothers.
This is a trait shared by all the Plants. Truly kind and compassionate people, making this world a brighter and better place. The family has gained another angel, looking after all from above. Much love to all from the Haltons.
You will be missed young man. Our final
wrestling match will have to wait until we meet again. God Bless and I will continue to pray for you and your family,
I only met AJ briefly on February 14th this year at his wife’s clinic. He was heading in with a cane & said to me: “ I use this to brush off the mice” with a smile on his face.
Even with what he was battling, his personality shone & I could tell he had a great sense of humour. To Chantal, Francis, Helena, Emilia & Quinn as well as all your respective families & friends, my deepest condolences for this tremendous loss.
Dr. Chantal,
I just heard the sad news about your husband today during my bi-annual checkup. Thinking of you, and your family at this difficult time. Sending love and support.
Kind Regards.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to Chantal and all the family in the passing of your beloved AJ. I was so sorry to hear this very sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
AJ will be deeply missed. He was one of the first people I met when I started my advertising agency Xactly over 23 years ago, and he helped with my growth in so many ways. He was always kind with his time, and always there for you when you needed him. I’ll miss all our laughs, business talks, and random coffees. He was one of my favourite humans and will be missed forever. My condolences to the family & anyone that was close to him. Sincerely, Denis

It was truly an honour getting to know your family. AJ has a lot to be proud of. I didn’t know any of you well but all I saw between all of you was love, not only for your family and one another but the community and everybody in it. The stories AJ told me about what he has done made me believe that he was far more than just a staple in the community, he was an angel. He created a legacy that i dont think will ever be forgotten. Your beautiful family will continue to grow AJ and when they do, you will always be a huge thought in everything that they do. AJ, you are gone but you will never be forgotten.

AJ was a truly wonderful person—kind, spirited, and always ready with a laugh. We shared many great memories together, especially cheering on the Gatineau Flames and enjoying those unforgettable hockey nights. His passion for the game was infectious, and his warmth and friendship left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
It breaks our hearts that cancer won this battle. He faced it with courage, and his strength will never be forgotten.
Our sincere condolences go out to his family during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and sympathy,
Justin, Debra, and Sandy
