À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Stella Vivian Gaudin

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Stella, who left the world peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 90.

Born in Cumberland to the late John Deavy and the late Metta Deavy (née Minogue), Stella was the loving wife of the late Crawford Gaudin and the heart of her family. She was a loving mother to Darlene (Brian Pickup) and a deeply cherished grandmother to James (Julia) and Kim, who brought her endless joy and pride.

Stella’s absence will be felt profoundly by her sister Grace (Claude); her sister-in-law Aline (late Francis), whom she held especially close; and her sister-in-law Theresa (Gilbert). She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She is reunited in peace with her sister Velma (late Richard) and her brother Norman (late Lana).

Stella had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. She loved conversation, story-sharing, humour, and the kind of laughter that fills a room and warms the heart. Her kindness, her gentle spirit, and her love of life touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, and those memories will continue to bring comfort in the days ahead.

Family and friends are invited to gather in honour of Stella at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orléans, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, beginning at 10 am. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will follow at 11 am in the Chapel.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff of St. Vincent Hospital / Elizabeth Health Rehabilitation for the exceptional care and kindness given to Stella.

For those wishing to make a gesture of remembrance, donations to St. Andrew’s United Church would be greatly appreciated.
