À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Heinrich (Henry) Haltiner

Heinrich (Henry) Haltiner, age 90 passed away peacefully and comfortably on August 31, 2025. Born in Switzerland on October 22, 1934, Henry was married to the love of his life, the late Ilse Schleeh-Haltiner (2023) for 64 years. He was a devoted father to Yvonne and Peter and cherished grandfather to Shawn and Andrea.

As a young man, he emigrated to Canada in 1957 with no job and only the name of a friend of a friend in his pocket. His intention was to stay a year or two, but when Ilse joined him two years later, they decided to put down roots. Henry enjoyed a successful career as an estimator for a construction company and he loved to travel and explore new places, especially once he retired.

The family would like to thank everyone at Portobello Manor for their support, compassion and care.

A celebration of life will be held at Portobello Manor at 691 Valin Street in Orleans on Sunday September 28 from 2-4pm.
