À LA DOUCE MÉMOIRE DE Greg « Buck » Stevenson

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Greg “Buck” Stevenson, who passed away far too soon, surrounded by those he loved most on August 20, 2025 at the age of 46. Greg passed away peacefully after experiencing a massive stroke four days prior.

Greg was born on May 8, 1979 in Ottawa, Ontario to John and Barbara Stevenson. He was known for his kindness, sense of humor, dedication to family, and his love of sports. He devoted his life to his family, several sports communities, and to shaping the lives of others—both on and off the field.

Greg is survived by his wife Shelley Cundell, children Cheyenne Cundell (Jaedan McLoughlin) and Dayton Stevenson, his granddaughters Oaklynn and Airabella McLoughlin, and his mother Barbara Stevenson. Preceded in death by his father John Stevenson.

Family and friends are invited to the Celebration of Life which will be held on August 28, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Complex [1250 Trim Road, Orleans, ON]. Visitation will begin at 12:00pm, followed by a service in the chapel at 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting Greg’s legacy by helping keep Dayton’s baseball dreams alive. With your support, we hope to provide Dayton with the resources, stability, and opportunities he needs to find a sense of normalcy during this difficult time.

Condoléances

We will dearly miss Greg’s presence at the ball field, his unwavering support of all the boys, his stories, and his sense of humour. He was a huge supporter of Fletcher starting from our time in OLLB until this year when Dayton and Fletcher played ball together for Watson Elite. Our last conversation was about the boys and baseball at the end of our last tournament. We laughed at a picture of Dayton and Fletcher from 6 years ago and how small they were, and marveled at the bonds of friendship forged on the ball field . Those bonds will never be broken. Rest in peace, Greg. You will never be forgotten.

With love
Jamie, Leanna, Fletcher, and Serenity ❤️

Greg’s sense of humor will be something I will never forget and you’re a kind, compassionate soul who will never be forgotten. My condolences to Shelly and the family. 😔

I knew Greg as Bucky, and we worked many nights and events together as doormen/ security. I will always remember memories of him fondly. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

Bucky, your kindness, laughter, and genuine heart touched so many lives, including mine. You were a true friend to many and an inspiration in how you loved your family and community. The impact you had on and off the ball field will live on through Dayton, Cheyenne, your grandchildren, and all those you guided and encouraged.

To Shelley, Dayton, Cheyenne, and the entire family please accept my deepest condolences. May you find comfort in the memories, love, and strength Greg has left behind. He will never be forgotten.

With sympathy and respect,
