In Memory of Sheila Peiris (Joseph)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Sheila Magdelene Pushparani PEIRIS announce her peaceful passing on February 4th, 2021 after a brief, but courageous four week battle with pancreatic cancer. Sheila passed away at home in Ottawa, Canada, surrounded by her loving family, ushered heavenwards in a chorus of prayers.
Sheila leaves behind her best friend and adoring husband of forty one years, Shelton, devoted daughter Sharon (Martin), loyal son Shannon (Michelle) and treasured grandchildren Olivia (7), Chanelle (5) and Joey (2).
She will be dearly missed by her extended family – sisters Esther, Elizabeth, Vicky, (late) Ruthie, Edna, Freda, Eunice; brothers Jonathan and Raja; numerous brothers and sisters-in law, and an army of loving nieces and nephews.
Sheila leaves behind many heartbroken friends from so many walks of life, from all over the world, especially her fellow Calvary Church Colombo congregants, former colleagues of CNAQ, and close friends from Sri Lanka, Saudi, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
A private funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Ottawa at Heritage Funeral Complex. The funeral will be live streamed and can be viewed by following this link : https://bit.ly/39UQf18
An interment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
A Celebration of her beautiful, full life will be held at a later date.

Machado, the compassionate care of the doctors of the Orleans Palliative Care group, and the kind nurses and caregivers of the Bayshore Nursing Group.
