I remember coming over every weeks, and your face would light up when I came to say hello. I wish I had more time with you, however the time spent will always be memorable. I am so blessed to have gotten to know you. May you be without pain and blessed with endless happiness.
My bestfriends grandfather was my bestfriend too…. everytime I came around, we would make a drink and chill out. Grandpa and grandma were amazing together. I felt safe with them. Honestly, being indigenous and Melissa’s best friend… I always felt safe. People were racist towards me and Melissa would come to my defense and grandpa would speak to how much he respected me and my people… I always felt safe with grandma and grandpa, so much my heart breaks as I think of them. Melissa.. your family loved me, and through that love, I felt healing. I love yor family Melissa and you.. YOU ENTIRELY MELISSA…. I love you. My bestfriend forever. Rest in peace grandpa, we all love you.

Gramps, I will always cherish the memories we’ve shared and all the laughter — from the first time I met you in your kitchen on Nugget Drive, to the kitchen in Cumberland where you *tried* to show me how your fancy air fryer worked (and insisted I needed one too!). Thank you for the warmth, wisdom, and wit. You’re already missed, I guess I need to get that bottle of Jim Bean after all (and maybe that air fryer)! xo
To the entire Traversy Family, our sincerest condolences and strength and courage through this difficult time.

To a man who truly wasted no time.
You will be unbelievably missed by more people than I think you ever thought.
Gramps was a man who continued to live his best years by sharing his incredible stories with the younger generations. I remember always listening in awe of all the marvellous adventures this man had embarked on. He was the kind of man who’s laugh was contagious and who’s joy spread all around him. Sometimes I wonder if my sense of adventure comes from the inspiration his stories would spark. He wasted no time on this earth, embracing everything life sent him and made the best of it. I hope he’s dancing with Nanny in the afterlife 💜
So, to a cherished man who will deeply be missed forever; to Gramps.
Dad, Gramps, Mac. I had many names for you because you played so many different important roles in my life. Dad because you where there from the day they brought me home from the hospital and every day until I wondered out on my own and you taught me many important lessons in life. Gramps because you spoiled me as your grand daughter and Mac because you were also a friend and confidant to me as you where to many others . You always had an open door policy for everyone. You love to host and have a great time and you were always there if someone needed a shoulder to lean on or a couch to sleep 😉 You where the go to problem solver. Always optimistic, cheerful, joking around and telling great stories of your adventurous past. Your strength during our families hard times, even your’re own hard times towards the end is admirable. Give my mom and Nanny big hugs from your girls. You will be dearly missed. Love you and until we meet again by the camp fire with a Jim bean and Diet Pepsi in our hands and you’re fancy hat with the lights on the visor! Love Melissa, Nylah and Lailah.
Dear Dan and Suzanne,
We are so very sorry to learn of the loss of your cherished father. We remember your dad as a very kind, welcoming man and know how much he meant to you. Sending our sincerest condolences to you and your family at this difficult time.

To the Traversy family.
My memories of Richard are many and run deep within my heart. As I grew up knowing Danny and the entire family I had the privilege of being involved with Richard in hockey, the kinsmen club and in many other activities. He was a great friend and mentor. He will be sadly missed.
My heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

Where do I begin… I had the absolute privilege of knowing Richard, Granddad to me during the time I was professionally cleaning your home, as well as Sue and Dan’s. I remember arriving in the mornings at Dan and Sue’s and always stopping to say my good mornings to Colette and Richard (and to Richard alone after Colette’s passing). I’d always ask if there was anything they needed before I got started.
Gramps would often be huffing and puffing, busy with his “to-do list” like heading to the corner store for his morning paper and lotto tickets, then back home to the basement where he “had lots to do,” as he’d say. It always made me chuckle.
Some of my fondest memories were at the trailer, spending time with him and the family always laughing, always full of joy. I’ve been so fortunate to have gotten to know the entire family. Dan and Sue had always treated me like one of their own, and meeting Melissa—who’s now one of my closest friends, has been such a gift.
I had the chance to meet Colette, and I was there during one of the most difficult times after her passing at home. It was incredibly hard. The second most heartbreaking moment was being there when Aunt Donna passed. Seeing the pain in Granddad, Dan, and Melissa was overwhelming. I can’t imagine the weight of losing a daughter, sister, and mother so young.
When I heard Granddad was declining, I said a prayer. I asked God to let Colette come and take his hand one last time here on earth, because I knew he was ready.
You’ll be deeply missed, Gramps. By so many. 💔 love Samantha
Richard you were laid to rest today beside your precious loved ones. I will miss you, I will miss our dinner chats, our hockey conversations after a game, your funny stories and you had lots of them. lol I am at a lost when I come home from work I would go over ask about your day and tell you what was for dinner. You would smile and say mmm white or red lol There are so many great memories with you in my life. The cruises, the family dinners, the birthday parties. You were a great father in law ! Pinot missed you too He goes over and looks for you! I will miss you! May you rest in peace Richard. Xo
