In Memory of Mario Gervais

It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Mario Gervais on May 29, 2025. He will be forever missed by his devoted wife, Angie, who shared 29 years of love and companionship. Cherished father to Christian Gervais (Taylor), Liza D’Aoust (Josiahs) and Jean-Marc D’Aoust (Roxanne). Mario was also a proud grandfather to Lexxya, Océanne, Jacob, Mikaël and Maverick.

Mario is now reunited in heaven with his father Raymond Gervais and will be sincerely missed by his mother-in-law Rita. His beloved memory will be held by his sister Jocelyne Gervais and many other members of his extended family and friends. 

Mario enjoyed a wide range of interests, however fishing with his son was what he cherished most. He also found great joy in the company of his dogs Thunder and Sheena, who miss him dearly. Mario dedicated many years to the Iron Workers Union and his commitment and passion for his work leaves a lasting and positive example.

As we bid farewell to Mario, comfort is taken in the memories held dear – the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, and the moments of quiet reflection. Though Mario may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his guidance and the warmth of his presence.

Mario’s family wishes to thank the staff at AGF Steel (Stephanie) and the Civic Hospital for providing Mario with care in his final moments.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on June 27^th from 4pm to 8pm at the Hammond Golf and Country Club.
