Born June 23, 1935, in Navan, Ontario, June grew up surrounded by family, community, and the values that shaped her character throughout her life. She was caring, supportive, and always ready to help in times of need. Those who knew her best remember her as someone who offered warmth without hesitation and who carried herself with quiet strength.

June had a comprehensive knowledge of geography and politics. She was a woman of simple pleasures, she enjoyed travel, golf, cribbage, and most of all, time spent with family and friends. Whether exploring novel places, sharing a laugh on the golf course, or gathering with loved ones, she embraced life with openness and appreciation. Her friendships were deep and lasting, and her family ties stretched across generations and geography.
A Dedicated Career
June built a long and respected career with External Affairs of the Federal Government of Canada. Her professionalism, reliability, and commitment earned the gratitude of those she supported throughout her years of service.
Family Across Generations
June is survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews from coast to coast in Canada and the United States. June had a strong sense of family and was strove to be an integral presence in the lives of her siblings, nieces, and nephews. Each carries memories of her kindness, humour, and the thoughtful ways she stayed connected across distance and time.
June was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd Everett, and Florence Elizabeth Martin (Wall), and by her siblings: Lloyd Martin (Joyce Arthur), George Martin, Evelyn Cotton (Harry Cotton), John Martin (Fabiola Gravelle), Howard Martin (Irene Thurley), and Alan Martin (Yvonne).

Those wishing to honor June’s life may consider a donation to The Ottawa Humane Society or simply take a moment to extend kindness to someone in need; something June did naturally and often. Her family and friends will remember her with deep affection, gratitude, and the quiet comfort of knowing that her generosity and spirit live on in the many lives she touched.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Ottawa (Orléans), on Monday, March 9th, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
