In Memory of Jacqueline Comeau
It is with great sadness that the Comeau family wishes to inform you of the passing of Jacqueline Comeau (née Battah), 75, on December 14, 2020 in Ottawa. Originally from Saint-Léolin, New Brunswick, she was predeceased by her parents, the late Lawrence Battah and the late Noëlla Battah (née Lanteigne), and by a grandson, Noah. She is mourned by her loving husband Guy Comeau, her two beloved sons Marc (Chantal Marin) and Éric (Michelle Yetman) and her beloved daughter Lynne (Alexander Parker). She will be dearly missed by her adored grandchildren Geneviève, Isabelle, Béatrice, Mathieu, Charlotte and Sophia. She is survived by her four beloved brothers Jean-Guy (Doris), Yvon (Sheri), Henri (Pierrette) and Gérard (Lovina), and her beloved sister Collette. As well, she will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Rose Comeau (Willis Comeau), Dianne Robichaud (Guy Robichaud) and Linda Moakler (Ron Moakler). Numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and neighbours are also mourning her passing.
Throughout a life guided by generosity and selflessness, nothing made her happier than to see the people she cared for gathered for a meal she had lovingly prepared. Over the years, numerous relatives and friends were blessed with the opportunity to have Jacqueline host them at her warm, welcoming table for a bountiful feast. She will also be warmly remembered by hundreds of Orléans schoolchildren (who are all grown up today), for whom she prepared and served countless hot meals every noon-hour. As someone who always loved to share her knowledge with children, she was also very proud of the work she did in her younger years in the teaching field.
Due to the current situation, the memorial service will take place at a later date in 2021.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) would be appreciated.
