In Memory of Guy Lavergne

it is with great sadness that the family of Guy Lavergne announces his passing on August 18, 2025, at the age of 75, surrounded by his beloved wife Brenda, his son Christien, and his grandson Joshua.

Born on May 22, 1950, Guy was the cherished son of the late Maxille and Madeline Lavergne. He shared a beautiful life with Brenda, his devoted wife of 50 years, building a family and a lifetime of memories together.

Guy will be lovingly remembered by his daughter-in law Errin, granddaughter Cali, and siblings: Ginette (Charles), Sylvie (Eric), Nicole (the late Roger), Claude (Carole), Richard (Lynn), Reggie (Cecile), Denis, Michel (Celine), and is predeceased by his brothers Serge, Maurice, André, and Robert. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

For over 35 years, Guy worked with Champlain Cleaners, first on Montreal Road and later on St. Joseph Boulevard in Orleans. He was proud of his work and deeply valued the friendships he made with his loyal customers over the years.

The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Road, Orleans) followed by a Memorial Service at 12 p.m. A reception will follow the Memorial Service in the Heritage reception halls.

Our deepest sympathies for a wonderful man, he will be sorely missed. We only knew him from the start of COVID but it was always a pleasure to salute him and chat while walking our two dogs. He was a gentleman and his courage living through his health challenges inspired us.
He was immensely proud of his family.

To Brenda, Christian, Joshua and my family.
Guy you will always be in our hearts, you made us laugh with your Elvis shows and you were always happy.
