In Memory of Felix Joseph Connolly

It is with great sadness that the family of Felix Joseph Connolly announce his sudden passing on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the age of 87. Felix will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 63 years, Margo; children, Marion (Chuck), Michael (Patty), Angela; grandchildren, Brendan, Emily, Ryan, Matty, Max (Nadia), Meghan, Owen; brother, Michael (Geraldine) and numerous other family members and friends. Felix was predeceased by his parents, Felix and Mary; siblings Maura, Elizabeth, Ella, and niece Lisa.

Felix was born in Belfast, N. Ireland, in 1938. There he studied at the College of Technology, becoming a naval architect and engineer. He enjoyed a highly successful and fulfilling career.

Felix and Margo immigrated to Canada in 1961, marrying in Quebec City where their adventure began and 3 children followed. Ireland remained in his heart till the very end. He and Margo were always active in the Irish community. Both loved to travel together, explore nature, read and golf. His favourite pastime, however, was spending time with his family. He never missed an activity, parent/teacher conference, and was a constant cheerleader. Felix extended the same unconditional love to his seven grandchildren. Felix’s faith was very important to him and was his guide; a devoted husband and father who dedicated his life to quietly helping others and providing a loving home for his family. He was known for his generous and gentle nature, quick wit and brilliant mind. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held at the Divine Infant Church at 6658 Bilberry Drive on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at 11:00. A reception, with light refreshments, will follow at the church. Followed by a private interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Felix’s name to The Stevie Fever for ALS Foundation or Shepherds of Good Hope.
