In Memory of F. Douglas Titus
It is with great sadness to announce that on Thursday, May 29th, F. Douglas Titus at the age of 83 died from heart failure at the Montfort Hospital. Doug was known as an avid curler in the city of Ottawa where he attended several championships and enjoyed making the ice at the RCMP and Navan clubs for many years. He had a variety of interests, loved when bass season opened and his number was NASCAR. His Sundays were spent listening to the old country classics on the radio and watching a race. As you all knew him, he had a great sense of humour, he loved a good joke that would send him to tears. Always enjoyed a few beers with his buddies at the local pub every Wednesday fixing the worlds issues. He is survived by his wife, Revia Fisher-Titus, and his four sons Tim, Ron, Ken and Adam and 5 grandchildren. Doug lived a long and full life and he will be thoroughly missed by many friends and especially his family. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, June 29 at the RCMP curling club from 1 to 4pm.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Doug’s death. He was quite a character and fun loving individual. I fondly remember visiting your cottage and the many stories told after curling at the RA. He will be greatly missed.
My sincere condolences.

I am truly shocked a will miss Doug truly as a curling teammate in our road to the many trips to Quebec for the Royal Caledonia curling competitions. Proud that my name is on a banner with him at the Navan club. Also a great roommate at a couple of Briers.
Revia and family,
I only just learned of Doug’s passing. Please accept our deepest condolences. I have so many wonderful memories of the years that I curled with Doug. He will be missed. He was certainly one of those “larger than life” personalities.
