In Memory of Clifford Michael Shamy
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Clifford Michael Shamy, of Ottawa, Ontario on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the age of 63 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Rosanne Paquette and his devoted boys Clayton and Spencer. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings, Leane (Denis), Claire (Jeff), Michel (Claire); his step mother Tania; his godson Harrison; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Cliff was born in Montreal and made Ottawa his home where he worked as a Telecom Site Acquisition Specialist. Cliff will be remembered for his confidence, charisma, and strong ambition – his love of the ocean, especially the New England and Florida beaches – his fondness of music, concerts, and hockey.
Despite a long and arduous battle with multiple serious health conditions, Cliff never lost his spirit and demonstrated a strength that deserves to be honored. His wife and boys were grateful to have been with Cliff in his final moments, and are comforted to know that he can now peacefully do all the things he loves without limitations or restrictions.
The family extends gratitude to his caregivers and medical staff who supported him over the years.
At Clifford‘s request, a Private Family Service will be held.
Memorial Donations may be made in Clifford’s name to the Lung Health Foundation.

Rosane, Clayton, Spencer, my deepest sympathies!!! Thinking of you all!
RIP my friend. Cliff you have been fighting for so long and now it is time to rest. I will always remember the talks regarding our favourite team Boston Bruins. The holidays our two families spent together at Hampton beach. The times we went golfing. Calling to see how things were going. Now it is time to say goodbye until we meet again my friend.
Dear Rosanne,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you, the boys and the whole extended family. May you all find peace and solace in the memories you all shared. Our deepest sympathies.

Clifford my friend and cousin… although we were far apart in your final years I will never forget our good times. You struggled with your health for many years but it won’t replace the good times we shared as family and more importantly as friends in our youth. We sure had some good times when we lived together. I’d love to share those here but I fear your lovely bride and kids might get upset with me so I’ll keep those between us. You are finally at peace… until we meet again. Love you brother. Pauly (the infestor) ❤️
Rosanne I am so sorry to hear about your loss . As painful as this may be, know that the suffering is over. Hugs and condolences to you and your family
I am truly lost for words.
Cliff was never just an uncle to me — he was a best friend. Even though we grew apart in the last years of his life, that will never erase the bond we shared or the incredible man he was. He was intelligent, caring, and someone who left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him, especially me.
I will forever hold close all the memories we made together the late nights watching hockey, the crazy nights at the casino, racing our cars, and the countless days at the shooting range. But more than the places or the adventures, it was the conversations that meant the most. Hours of texting, laughing, sharing ideas, and talking about life.
What I will cherish above all else is everything you taught me about business, about thinking bigger, and believing in myself. Those lessons will stay with me for the rest of my life.
You were my uncle, a mentor, and my best friend. You always will be.
Rest peacefully, Cliff. You will never be forgotten.
Mes plus sincères sympathies aux garçons et a toi, ainsi qu’à toute la famille. Je vous envoie plein d’amour et des câlins de loin ❤️❤️ Melika et Max
