In Memory of Arthur Benny Evans

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Arthur Benny Evans at the age of 81. 

Arthur passed peacefully surrounded by family at the Heart Institute in Ottawa on January 7, 2026.

He leaves behind his sons Jason (Julie) and Chad (Karen), as well as 4 grandkids that he loved very much; Jake, Jesse, Kierra and Lauren. He will also be missed by his 2 sisters, Avril Davies (the late Eric Michael Davies) and Moira Evans (David Near).

Preceded in death by his late wife Virtue Evangeline Evans (Beattie), father Geoffrey Evans, mother Nesta Evans (Thomas). 

Arthur was known to everyone as a handy, intelligent man who was full of positivity and enjoyed helping others. There was nothing he could not fix! His patience and willingness to learn enabled him to solve any problem that he faced. Family was the most important thing to Arthur, and helping and spending time with them is what he cherished most in life.

A celebration of life ceremony and gathering will be held at the Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Road – Access from Taylor Creek Drive, exit off the 174 Eastbound at Trim, first right at the roundabout) in Orleans on March 2, 2026 at 10:30am.
