In Memory of Janina Baginski
Janina, aged 74, left us on December 19th, 2025. She was a wonderful wife of Stefan and mother, raising two children: Sebastian and Natalie (granddaughter Anna). She was a very cheerful, empathetic, lively, and loving woman, always ready to offer a helping hand. When the kids were young, she ran the Nicolaus Copernicus Saturday School for Polish children in Mississauga and served as camp counsellor at the “Bucze” girl scout camp in Kaszuby, at Barry’s bay, Ontario. A trained accountant, she handled financial matters in four legal and linguistic jurisdictions. She also learned Real Time Computing and programmed computer modules that still fly in space and on earth today, controlling subway traffic in several large urban environments in Europe. Janina held an honorary membership with the Association of Polish Engineers. Her interests and hobbies were wide-ranging, including stained glass arts, where she donated most of her creations. For many years, she poured her love of the arts into support of the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. The Diamond Donor wall of the main hall bears her name and she enthusiastically contributed financially to the recent renovations of the Centre. As well, she was a long-time beloved member-at-Large of the Greater Avalon Community Association, and was an avid Tai-Chi practitioner, organizing a weekly practice group in Orleans. We all miss her so much: her smile, her gaze, and her voice.

Celebration of life services will be held on January 10th, 9:00 AM, at the Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orleans, K4A 3P7.

Janina, przeżywszy 74 lat, odeszła 19 grudnia, 2025.
Wspaniała Żona i matka, wychowała dwoje dzieci Sebastiana i Natalię. Była bardzo pomocna, pogodna, i empatyczna. Prowadziła Szkołę dla polskich dzieci im. Mikołaja Kopernika w Mississauga, opiekunka Skrzatów na Stanicy Harcerek “Bucze”, Kaszuby, Ontario. Z wykształcenia Księgowa, zajmowała się sprawami finansowymi w czterech Jurysdykcjach prawnych i Językowych. Nauczyła się programować Real Time Computing i programowała moduły, latające do dzisiaj w kosmosie i na ziemi, kierują one np. ruchem metra w Warszawie, Pradze i Mediolanie. Stowarzyszenie Inżynierów Polskich przyjęło Ją do swoich szeregów. Miała szerokie zainteresowania i hobbies. Zajęła się tworzeniem witraży. W większości darowała swoje kreacje, które pojechały do kilkunastu krajów po obu stronach Atlantyku. Przez wiele lat wspomagała National Arts Center w Ottawie. Jej imię i nazwisko wyryte na tablicy w holu głównym, szereg foteli w Lożach ma tabliczki z Jej imieniem. Była członkiem Diamentowego Klubu Dawców dla tego centrum. Przez lata była Member-at-Large w Greater Avalon Community Association, zorganizowała grupę Tai-Chi w Orleans. Nam wszystkim bardzo Jej brakuje, uśmiechu, spojrzenia i głosu. Prosi o modlitwę i chwilę zamyślenia

I am just hearing of the passing of your wonderful Mother ,Grandmother and loving wife.
We passed a fair amount of time together in the last few years as I worked on her nails we would chat about anything and everything.She was a kind ,loving lady whom I considered a friend.I am so so sorry to hear of her passing.I hope you all find peace in the memories that you share.I will miss her and think of her often .
Odejście Twojej żony Janiny było dla nas wszystkich ogromnym zaskoczeniem, Wierzymy, że jest teraz w lepszym miejscu, w którym nie ma już bólu i cierpienia. Śmierć tak bliskiej osoby potrafi pozostawić ogromną pustkę w sercu, dlatego jesteśmy myślami z Tobą oraz Twoją Rodziną. Pozdrawiamy Was mocno i przesyłamy nasze kondolencje.
