In Memory of Jean-Paul Larocque
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean-Paul “JP” Larocque on August 14, 2025. JP was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend — cherished by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Diane ( born Ouellette) whose love and strength were his greatest comfort throughout life. He was a proud and loving father to Martin and Maryse (Fred), and a cherished grandfather “Baba” to Mathieu (Amy), Fred (Zoya), and Valérie (Josh). His family was his greatest joy and legacy.
He is lovingly remembered by his siblings Marcel (Manon), Marie-Claire, Jeannine, and Diane. JP will also be deeply missed by his brother-in-law Réjean (Sylvie), his sister-in-law Sylvie (Ahmed), and his many nieces, nephews, and friends — each of whom held a special place in his heart and shared in a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, and love.
He lived with quiet strength, deep kindness, and a strong sense of family. In his final days, he faced his challenges with courage and dignity. He fought a good fight — with the same resilience and heart that defined the way he lived.
Though he is no longer with us, his warmth, wisdom, and love will continue to live on in the lives of those he touched.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans, on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Memorial Service will follow in the Heritage Chapel at 2 p.m.
My deepest sympathies to the family at this very difficult time. I will always remember him fondly. He and I would joke about each other’s hockey teams. He is one of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure working with. He was always so kind. He will be greatly missed. This one’s for you JP ‘ Go Leafs Go’ May he rest in peace.
