In Memory of Yvon Lavallée

Suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Yvon Lavallée died on June 12th, 2016, at the age of 82, at the Ottawa Heart Institute. Still active as a construction entrepreneur, an avid hunter and fisherman, Yvon was known for living life to the fullest with humour and tenacity. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jacqueline (Jackie) Miron; his children Michel (Sylvie Denis), Lyne (Gerry Taylor), and Luc (Tara Sturrup); four grandchildren Julie (Levi), Mylène (Phil), Philippe, and Shanna; two great-granddaughters Jessie and Lexie; his sisters Rolande (Upchan), Thérèse (Lécuyer), and Lorraine (Delaney); his sisters in-law Denise, Rita, and Lucille Lavallée; Gaby, Micheline, Carole and Carmen Miron, Lise (Michel Sabourin) and brother-in-law Guy Miron (Colombe); as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Adrienne (Trahan) of Verner ON, brothers Germain, Paul, Roger, George, Fernand, Gérard, and Marcel; sisters Liliane (Gagnon), Rita (Roy), Simone (Papineau), Rachelle (Piché) and Carmen (Paulin). Special thanks to Dr Sam Ghatalia and Dr Claude Laflamme. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Family and friends are invited to the Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans, on Monday, June 20, from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm, and on Tuesday, June 21 from 9 to 10 am. A celebration mass will take place at the St-Joseph Church, 2757 St-Joseph Blvd., Orléans, on Tuesday, June 21 at 11 am.
