In Memory of Wendy Kennedy

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that after a long courageous battle with breast cancer, Wendy Kennedy passed away on Monday October 12th, at the age of 73 years old. Born in Gaspe, Quebec, to Sadie and Dermot Patterson. She will be sadly missed by her children Cheryl (Ken), Sharon (Geoff), Michael (Jessica), as well as her grandchildren Brooklyn, Joshua, Adam, Sean, Wyatt, Dakota, her twin brother Wayne (Mary), many relatives across the Kennedy and Patterson families and her many dear friends. We were comforted by the warmth and loving gestures from family and friends during these last few months of her life.

Given the circumstances with regards to COVID, we are not able to have a memorial service at this time. As an alternative we would love family and friends to share a special memory on the Heritage website in order to honour her loving, generous and kind nature. We would like to recognize and thank Dr. Hilton and the oncology team at the Ottawa Cancer Centre, as well as the Orleans Palliative Care nurses and doctors. We encourage family and friends to pay it forward by helping others, volunteering or donating to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Memory of “Wendy Kennedy

I decided to go online to see if I could get in touch with Wendy and sadly found this site. I am so sad to know that Wendy passed away. I thought of her today. If I remember correctly it would have been her birthday.
I tried to get in touch with Wendy when Brian passed away but was not successful.
I know it is very late but I send my condolences to her family.
Wendy & I were good friends in high school and a few years after but we lost touch a few years after Wendy & Brian moved to Orleans ? Ontario.
The last time I saw Wendy was in 1978 just after our daughter was born. (If my memory serves me correctly).
Sincerely
Ethel Rowdon/Stephen
