In Memory of Walter McLeod
Walter Scott McLeod (1959 – 2018)
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our husband, brother, uncle, and friend, Walter Scott McLeod at the young age of 59. Born and raised in Thorold, Ontario, he was the son of the late Walter and Jean (Milne) McLeod. Walter had lived for the last eighteen years in Ottawa, Ontario.
Walt was a huge fan of the Montreal Canadians. There was nothing he enjoyed more than sitting by his pool, having a beer, and listening to the Beatles. Walt loved to banter, whether it be about politics, hockey, or even the spelling of his name.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife and soul mate, Terry (Coates) McLeod. He is also survived by his sister Pat O’Toole, his brother Martin McLeod and Martin’s wife Tammy as well as his nieces and nephews, Bonnie Power and her husband Doug, Terry O’Toole and his wife Elaine, Jessica McLeod and Tyler McLeod. His mother-in-law, Vera Coates, also survives him as well as his sister in-law Lori Coates and her husband James and his brother in-law Paul Coates. His canine friend, Abbey, will be lost without him and he will be dearly missed by all.
A celebration of Walt’s life will be held at the Branch 632 Legion, 800 Taylor Creek Drive, Orleans, Ontario on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. All are welcome. Casual attire. There will be Beatle’s music.
Planting a tree or making a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of Walt would be greatly appreciated.
