In Memory of Thérèse Morier
Thérèse Morier, née Bourdon, passed away peacefully in Orleans on March 15, 2020 at the age of 91.
Thérèse was born in Saint-Boniface, Manitoba on January 7, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Louis René Bourdon and Flore Dheilly and the sister of the late Suzanne McIntosh and Raymonde Morier.
She is survived by her husband of over sixty-five years, Augustin, her children, Gilles (Danielle Ménard), Irène (Yves Laviolette), Rolland (Janet Hood) and Alain (Brigitte Bénac), five grandchildren Claire (Phillippe Pearcey), Lianne, Eric, Martin and Simon as well as her brother-in-law Vincent Morier, her sister-in-law Rose-Aimée and several nieces and nephews.
Loving, wise and always in a good mood, Thérèse deeply loved her family. She was an avid and adventurous cook, a talented bunka embroidery artist, an original and skilled seamstress, and a somewhat reluctant international traveler. Therese truly made our house a home where she warmly welcomed her extended family and friends over the years. She is greatly missed.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orleans. Due to current travel and gathering restrictions, a private service will be held.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Promenade Residence in Orleans for the warm support and excellent care provided to Thérèse.
