In Memory of Thérèse Labelle

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Thérèse Labelle at the age of 87. She passed away peacefully at Montfort hospital on November 30, 2020. Married first to the late Richard (Dick) Merritt and later to Albert Rousseau. She is survived by her beloved children: Joanne Merritt, the late Hélène Merritt, Louise Merritt (Marc Cholette) and Mike Merritt (Jennifer Merritt). She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren Justin Cholette, Lisanne Gow née Cholette (Mike Gow) and Nicole Merritt, as well as her brother Roger Labelle (Claire) and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Valmore Labelle and Dinora Racette as well as her brothers and sister: Maurice Labelle, Roland Labelle, Lucille Labelle, as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She loved her family very much.

She was very strong and brave til the end and was a trooper through all her health challenges and treatments this year. Always smiling, she will be missed dearly.

We wish to thank the amazing teams of health care workers at Montfort hospital and the staff at Manoir Belcourt in Orleans for the wonderful care and attention provided.
