In Memory of Stuart Lowde

We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of F. Stuart (Stu) Lowde on September 5, 2021, at the Ottawa Hospital – General Campus. Born to Joseph and Catherine Lowde on October 18, 1939, in England, Stuart was a brother to Terry (passed away just 4 months ago). Stu is survived by his wife Pauline Lowde, whom he spent 56 years of marriage with and he leaves his children Derek, Kelly and Karolyn (Gerry), grandchild Katheryn (Lucas) and great-grandchildren Kayson and Lilah.

Stu was a proud (retired) member of the RCMP and served as a member of the federal and national police service for 36 years.

Many thanks to the General Hospital for their care and everyone who assisted and supported us these past few weeks.

Donations to the Alzheimer’s and/or Cystic Fibrosis foundations would be greatly appreciated.-see links below

My condolences to Pauline and the family. Stu and I worked in Ident. Services at the time when the Criminal Record was going from paper to microfiche to computer. Stu was always there to assist in any way. We worked well together.
My prayers are with you.

My condolences to the Lowde family.
Having worked with Stu at “HQ” in the Ident Tower between 1982-85, he most certainly impressed those around him.
Stu was truly one of those members that stood above many that I’ve known across my career.
Particularly during the coffee break tournaments in the “Tower”.
