In Memory of Simone Shank

Simone Shank (née Lavergne) 1929 – 2020

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Simone Shank in Ottawa (Orleans), on February 4, 2020, at the age of 90 years. Daughter of the late Rosias Lavergne and of the late Germaine (née Aubertin) Lavergne. Wife of the late Doris Shank. Mother of Suzanne Bissonnette (Albert), Yvon Shank (Sandra), Daniel Shank (Lois Hirtz), Ronald Shank and Raymond Shank (Debbie). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Marcel, Philippe, Adèle, Elisse, Darryl, Brendon, Geoffrey, Gilbert and Karina as well as her great-grandchildren, Samuel, Alexie, Jack and Stella. Also survived by her sister Gaëtanne Desgroseilliers (Hormidas) and her brother Gérard (Claire). Predeceased by her sisters Annette Quenneville (late Gérald), Hélène Quenneville (Réjean), Denise Quenneville (late Jacques) and her brothers Aldébert (late Thérèse), Rhéal (Carmelle), Alcide (Jeannine) and Hervé. The family wishes to thank all of her devoted care providers at the Résidence St. Louis. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Ch. Trim Rd. in Orleans, on February 22, 2020 starting at 2 p.m. A religious ceremony in the presence of the ashes will follow at the Chapel Heritage at 3 p.m. For those who wish, your expressions of sympathy can translate into donations to the Bruyère Foundation.
