In Memory of Shukla Shukla

Shukla Arora peacefully departed her family on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Born on November 11, 1939, in Batala, India, Shukla was a beloved daughter of the late Dr. Jagjit Nath Pasricha and the late Janak Rani Pasricha.

Shukla was a devoted mother to her son, Raj, whom she lovingly raised in Dasuya alongside her husband, the late Harkishan Lal Arora.

A dedicated educator, Shukla taught at D.A.V. School in Dasuya, where she was admired for her intelligence and passion for education. As a result, she took immense pride in her granddaughter Naavya’s academic accomplishments.

Shukla had a zest for life and enjoyed reading, travelling—particularly her cherished trip to Australia with her son and his close friends—and watching cricket.

Her life was rooted in spirituality and a commitment to giving back to the community. Honouring her wishes, donations will be made in her name following her passing.

In her final wishes, Shukla expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who touched her life, and asked that her thanks be conveyed to everyone for their love and support.

Shukla is survived by her son, Raj; daughter-in-law, Sangeeta; and granddaughter, Naavya. She also shared a special bond with her extended grandchildren: Omav, Saanvi, Anvith, and Aarna.

In addition, she leaves behind her sister Sunita Malhotra and her cherished nieces and nephews, who will continue to celebrate her legacy.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Rd, Orléans, ON K4A 3P7).

In place of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Shukla’s name.”
