The picture of Scott is a look I have seen so often from him and will always remember.
The grin with that mischievous twinkle in his eye is one we will not forget.

Scott will be dearly missed! A kind person whom I have been fortunate to know and work with.
My deepest sympathies for your loss. May you find solace in his loving memories to fuel your strength and spirit at this time of your loss.
I am very sorry for your love and offering my sincere sympathies to you Jennifer, Meghan and Sarah.
Scott was a good men and very nice neighbor.
I only knew Scott a couple of years as we were newly neighbours, but he always made sure to make the effort to make us feel welcome. I was a new dad at that time, so we would often talk about the joys and struggles of parenthood. It was clear in our conversations how much he cherished the times when his own kids were much younger and just how proud he was of both of them.
Both of my kids (4 and 2) absolutely loved him and would always get excited to yell “Scott!!” When they’d see him walking down our street because he was always so kind to them and would take an interest in what they were doing or playing with. I feel very fortunate to have met him.
My deepest condolences to Jen, Meghan, and Sarah.
My condolences to the Balfour family. I once worked with Scott while I was in Ottawa for training. He was very patient and had a great sense of humor. Scott was thoroughly informative when I had a question and went out of his way to be helpful. It was a great honor to work with Scott. He will truly be missed.
We are glad we had the opportunity to meet Scott and his family during our last vacation in Ottawa. He is such a great guy. He was giving me tips and ideas which places we should visit in Canada. We were supposed to meet him again this October but not anymore. Fate has a different plan. We are deeply saddened about the news of his passing. To his family and sister Audrey please keep in mind we are always here for you willing to help in anyway possible. Please accept our deepest condolences. Wishing you strength and courage and a moment of peace and comfort during this difficult times. We love you guys.
Hugs,
JennyB, Geofrey and Jason
My sincere condolences to Scott’s family. I had met Scott (Scoot) for the first time in person in the Canada Ligado office this past April and was so shocked to hear of his passing. Worked with him testing out network support tools and he was always very helpful and a pleasure work with. He will truly be missed.
I am deeply saddened by the untimely loss of Scott Balfour, whom I knew as a soft-spoken, dedicated employee and a professional with kind heart and friendly demeanor. He treated everyone respectfully and with a pleasant smile. Please accept my heartfelt condolences as we mourn his loss. We know this is a difficult time for all of you – his family, coworkers and associates. Stay strong, and please know that his colleagues in our satellite & NetOps group and the whole Ligado team are here for you in support. May Scott rest in peace.
I’m really sorry to hear that news. Gone to soon. A great person always smiling. My sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the Balfour family for this great and unexpectable loss. Scott has been part of the Ligado family for over 15 years and although I didn’t work closely with him, Scott always had a smile on his face and a positive demeanor. He will be greatly missed at Ligado and yes that grin on his face will not be forgotten.
