In Memory of S. Prabhjit Singh Sawhney

With profound sadness, the Sawhney family announces the passing of our beloved father S. Prabhjit Singh Sawhney (August 7, 1941 – November 19, 2024), son of Lt S. Malik Singh Sawhney and Lt. S. Raj Kaur.

Our father often shared a lesson he cherished deeply: “I complained to God that I had no shoes, but then I saw a man who had no legs.” This simple yet powerful principle guided his life, shaping the way he faced challenges and the way he inspired others. No matter the hardship, he always found reasons to be grateful and spread positivity to all those around him.

A devoted husband, father, and friend, S. Prabhjit Singh Sawhney was a beacon of kindness, strength, and generosity. His unwavering resilience and capacity for love left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He taught us all to embrace life with gratitude and cherish the blessings we often take for granted.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and gratitude that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

It was an honor to have met Uncle ji ( Mr. Prabhjit Singh Sawhney), even if only once. He was a fine gentleman whose independence, hard work, and kind spirit left a lasting impression on me. His dedication to life and graceful demeanor continue to inspire all who knew him.

May Waheguru bless his soul with eternal peace and grant his family strength to find solace in the beautiful legacy he has left behind. As we remember him, let us pray for his union with the Divine and cherish the values he embodied.”

Whenever I am reminded of Chacha ji I always remember his warm smile and hugs. He was one of the most generous and genuine people I have had the honour to known. Always eager to help in whatever capacity he could, I remember how both Chachi ji and Chacha ji pitched in and supported us when my father passed away in 1991. The Sawhney families generous love will always be cherished, our condolences to them.
