In Memory of Robert Roy Larsen
Robert Roy Larsen passed away on February 19, 2025 in the Ottawa General Hospital. Born in Sudbury on 15 October 1937. He was the son of the late Hans Martin Larsen and Mimi Larsen. Robert was predeceased by his first love Gale Eleanor (Whittall) after 56 years of marriage. He is survived by his second wife Charlotte (MacLean) Foster and her children Matthew (Maximiliano), Kimberley Dora Foster, and granddaughter Sylina Foster Wright.
Robert worked for Square D in Toronto and eventually in Arnprior where he was the Plant Manger until its ultimate closure. He then became a real estate agent retiring in 2017. Robert enjoyed cottage life particularly on Halls Lake in the Haliburton Highlands. He was also an avid wilderness and canoe camper particularly in Algonquin Park with his brother Gordon, nephew Gordie, and Craig Liddiard. In the winter, he enjoyed snow mobiling and in the past had served as President of the Calabogie Snowmobile Club. Robert loved cars and boats and even built a cedar strip canoe.
He will be missed by all who knew him. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Lung Association.
Our condolences to Matt and family.
May Robert rest and be at peace.
Robert lived a full and wonderful life. May he rest in eternal peace. My deepest condolences to Charlotte, and all of his loved ones, who will miss him dearly.
Robert was a great lad and good companion for my sister Charlotte. He will be missed but remembered fondly.
I’ve known Robert since I was about 3 years old. Many special memories, the flower girl at his 1st wedding to my sister Gale, teaching me to drive at Halls Lake in his white Chevy Impala, boating, fishing, cottage life, poker, to name a few. I’m sure you have a hidden Ace of any suit travelling with you now. RIP Robert. 💝
Love, Always

So sorry to hear about Robert’s passing. Thinking of all of you ♥️.
When I met my new brother-in- law for the first time I knew immediately what a great companion he would make for my sister Charlotte. A wonderful person and I only wish I could have spent more time with him. He will be fondly remembered.
Heartfelt condolences from our family to yours.. We have fond memories of our time together with you and Robert. We will always remember how kind your family was to Nicholas during his time at University of Ottawa. Robert was a wonderful uncle to Nicholas and a much loved brother-in-law to us. Wishing you comfort and peace to face the days ahead and loving memories to hold in your heart.
Love Kimberly, Sandy, & Nicholas
I had so many great memories of uncle Robert especially at the cottage. He was a kind soul and we will miss him. I loved that he had a great appreciation of nature and always lived his life through it.
Robert was a lot of fun. A good looking man who enjoyed life to the fullest. We are thinking of Charlotte and family at this very sad time.
