In Memory of Raymond Andre Joseph Seguin

Raymond (Ray) passed away peacefully at the Montfort Hospital on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the age of 81 years.

He was born July 5, 1942 and is survived by his spouse, Diane Lapointe of 32 years, his sons Danny (Julie) and Michel (Roxanne), his grandchildren Dominik and Yzabelle, and his stepsons Scott (Kim) and Steven (Jessica).

He was the son of his beloved Father, the late Marcel Joseph Seguin and his Mother, the late Rolande Marie Seguin (Houle), the brother of Andree Robert (Fern) and Denise Hall (Bob) and his nieces Katie, Lorraine & Lynn and nephew James.

He was born and raised in Ottawa and had a passion for skiing, scuba diving, ski-doing, boating and fishing. He loved his ATV and spent many happy hours on the trails both in Winter and Summer in and around the Ottawa area. His happy place was Lake Opeongo where he would spend many vacations camping with his boys and his late wife Jeanne (Casault), even when the boys were quite young and up into their pre-teen years.

He received his Machinist Certification at a very early age and was rated at the top of his class. He became a Sales Executive and worked for high profile companies making high end sales for Security and Bomb Detection Units. He was in his element during his sales career and enjoyed travelling the world until he retired in January 2011.

He will be greatly missed by Diane, his sons, his family and the many friends and acquaintances he met over the years.

May you Rest in Peace until we meet again.

Condolences

Ray, you’ve gone from my sight, but never from my heart. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again. We’ve shared our lives together these last 32 years. You’ve held my hand; you’ve held my heart. Rest in Peace my Love until we meet again.
Love always and forever
Diane
