En mémoire de
Paul Lahaie
1941 – 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Lahaie on Sunday January 14th, at the age of 76, surrounded by his family. He is mourned by his daughter Roxanne (Tim) and his son Paul, their mother Agnès, his grandchildren Ashley, Derek and Tyler as well as his great granddaughter Rosalie. He also leaves behind his beloved Murielle and her mother Rita, his three sisters Georgette, Berthe and Gaby, his goddaughters Paulette, Rollande and Tanya as well as many nephews, nieces and friends who loved him greatly. Paul was predeceased by his father Georges and his mother Anna as well as his brothers Armand, Georges, Édouard and Arthur and his sisters Jacqueline, Patricia and Cécile. Paul was an admirable and generous man, a devoted father and an attentive and involved grandfather. He had a great sense of humour and a precious attitude to life. He worked for the Ministry of Veteran’s Affairs for 30 years and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. For those who new him, Paul was the life of the party with his guitar and his infinite song repertoire. He also liked playing golf and he was a fervent Montreal Canadian’s fan. You will remain in our hearts forever and always. The family wishes to thank the devoted staff at the Montfort Hospital and the Champlain Residence who have surrounded us with love and compassion. Condolences will be received at Paroisse Sainte-Marie d’Orleans located at 4831 Innes road in Orleans, on Saturday January 20th at 10 a.m., followed by the ceremony, in the presence of the ashes, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow the service in the church’s hall. Your memories and condolences can also be sent to www.heritagefh.ca. Donations can be made to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
