In Memory of Pamela Gould
Pamela Packham Johanson Gould, born Sept. 14, 1920, in Burgess Hill, Sussex, England, died on May 14th, 2018 at the May Court Hospice. In March 1946, Pamela left England with toddler son Peter and pregnant with her daughter, arriving in Montreal as a war bride. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Johanson Houlihan, grandson Aric Houlihan, grandaughter Pamela Houlihan, and grandson Gerry Johanson, son of her first-born, Peter Johanson (who died in June 2006) and of former husband, Gerald Johanson. Her second husband, J. Alan Gould of Sackville, N.B., predeceased her on July 30, 2017. On May 31, 2011, this combined family welcomed the addition of Emma Johanson, daughter of Gerry Johanson and Julie Brown. Pamela was a teacher in Quebec until her retirement in 1977. Many happy summers were spent at the cottage on Bark Lake, Quebec. In the summer a funeral will be held in her honour at All Saints Church in Deux Montagnes, Quebec, at a date to be announced.
