In Memory of Michaelle Nérée-Barthelemy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michaelle Nérée-Barthelemy, born on October 31st, 1978. She passed away the morning of Monday October 25th, 2021 at the General Hospital after losing her battle with ovarian cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian cancer over 11 years ago and had been fighting ever since. Even while struggling with her battle, Michaelle was a kind, generous and selfless person. She opened her heart and her home to the homeless; she fed the homeless, bought them food and even donated what she could to mothers in need as well as the homeless.

She leaves behind her beautiful children : Mateen Nérée-Barthelemy, Nisa Nérée-Barthelemy ,Wali Nérée-Barthelemy, and her bonus son Keyshawn Ghadban-Jean and Dorian Petrant. She also leaves behind her mother Ketia Jean-Louis, her father Ernst Nérée, her sister Widmane Saintil and her brother Léonel Saintil as well as her aunts; Herta Marseille, Jenima Jean-Louis, Nadia Jean-Louis, Acza Jean-Louis, Milca Jean-Louis, Nardèle Jean-Louis, Maria Sharif and her uncles Malherbe Jean-Louis, Arnold Jocelyn, Romain Nérée and Gousto Saint Fleur.  She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We would like to thank everyone that supported us and my mother during her battle. Special thank you to the nurses and doctors at the General Hospital 7th floor west, as well as the Palliative Care team for her care. Special thank you to Jude Brunelle, Claire Joseph, Chrisner Therrier, Mahaa Nadeau and Peggy Civil, for all their help, love, support and friendship during these past years of difficult times. Bless each and every one of you.  Lastly, we would like to thank Linda Peloso for helping with all the necessary arrangements.

Condolences

Michaelle, amazing mother, amazing friend to all you have touched. God bless you for your strength, determination and love that now shines through your children. Rest in peace Michaelle, fly as high as you can and travel to all places you wished for. You will be greatly missed by so many, especially the children

I met Michaëlle about 12 years ago. Michaëlle loved life and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Loved sharing and so kindhearted. Despite her battle with cancer and the sufferings , when you call and ask her how she was doing, her replied was always: I’m blessed. I honor her faith and courage. I know you are in a better place- paradise, but we missed you. RIP my sister.

Gone too early.
That is not fair that the disease chose to pick on such a kind person who wanted to do so much more.
We did not see each other, often. Boy! We knew how to catch up, when we get each other on the phone.
I am going to miss you, a lot. Although sick, I knew I could count on you, when I needed help. You showed me that when you happened to know that I was not well.
I think you for your love, your kindness.
May you rest in peace.
Ulrick Jean-Louis,
Your extended cousin.

Bon voyage Micha! Que Dieu dans son amour infini accueil ton âme au seuil de sa maison! Que la terre te soit légère!

My deepest condolences to the family on behalf of the Lucien’s family.
Que le Seigneur vous donne du courage en ce triste moment et qu’Il vous accorde sa paix!
