In Memory of Michael “Ted” Gauthier
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael “Ted” Gauthier on March 6, 2025 at the age of 95.
Proud father of Michael (Thérèse), Robert (Cathy), Jimmy (Louise), Elaine, Estella, David (Colleen) and Jean-Paul. He was predeceased by his daughter Colette, son Marc and son-in-law Jean Laporte.
Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Michael “Ted” started working at the House of Commons in 1950 and retired as Deputy Sergeant at Arms in 1988. He was a founding member of many chapters of A.A. throughout the City of Ottawa.
A celebration of his life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dementia Society.
My heart goes out to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
He always had a mischievous twinkle in his eyes and when you shook hands with him you would remember it for the rest of your life.
He is now relaxing in his favourite place in Florida enjoying the sunshine.
