In Memory of Maurice Pelletier

Maurice Pelletier, husband of the late Monique Banville and father of Jean (Lyse), Sylvie (Marc) and Denis (Kathleen), died on Thursday May 28, 2020, at the age of 88, of old age and failing health. There will be no funeral; the date of a memorial ceremony will be announced at a later date.

Maurice was loved and respected by all. He was honest and generous, a man of integrity. He was also known for his keen sense of humour and his always rock-solid optimism – for Maurice the glass was always half-full, at least. Maurice was a loving man and father for his children, and the most faithful and passionate of husbands for his beloved Monique, whom he loved with all his heart for more than 70 years. Poems, flowers, daily real presence and small and large romantic gestures were all part of his lover’s vocabulary. Maurice was also a very social man, a loyal friend and, always, an active member of his community. He was a good, good man, the very best. To know him was to love him.
