In Memory of Marguerite Meagher

Marguerite Yvonne Meagher (nee Barnabe), age 77, died peacefully at home surrounded by close family and friends on July 14^th, 2022 following a lengthy battle with COPD.

Marguerite is sadly predeceased by her husband of 47 years Gerald (Jerry) and two sons Michael and Mark.  She is survived by daughter Nicole and will be dearly missed by her 3 grandchildren Ryan, Jordan and Malaya.

Marguerite was also predeceased by her oldest sibling Lucien (Lisette), and younger sibling André.  She is survived by her siblings Roger, Peter (Jean), Maurice (Jan), Jacques (Carmen), Gerard (Sherry), Diane (Wayne) and youngest brother Noel.

Throughout her life, she worked several years at Madonna and Belleview Nursing Homes, as well as several years working in the cafeteria at St. Peter’s High School.  Her most important job was that of a stay-at-home mother and wife.  With Jerry, she dedicated her life to caring for her children which in her case, was challenged from day one.  She was a devoted mother and wife that stood strong all the way through, and to decompress from her many responsibilities, she would resort to her life long love of bingo or play cards.

Relatives and friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans, on Sunday, July 24th, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel, followed by a reception.
