In Memory of Lorraine Krueger
With love and sadness, the family of Lorraine Theresa Krueger (née Hill) announce her passing on November 1, 2019, at the Montfort Hospital, as a result of a stroke. At almost 75 years old, Lorraine, born November 3, 1944 in Ottawa, had lived a full and active life. She gave generously to her family and friends, and shared her natural gifts of compassion and mothering with the many special needs children she drove back and forth to school.
She leaves behind her sons, Dan (Susan), Mark (Nicole) and André (Heather), and only daughter Joey, as well as nine grandchildren, Josh, Matt, Eric, Shawn, Ally, Lauren, Jack, Gabe and Ben. Predeceased by her husband, John, from whom she learned to love archery and the outdoors, Lorraine also leaves behind her four brothers, Bob, Gerry, Dan and Michael, and dear sisters-in-law.
Lorraine will be forever remembered for her warm laugh, soft hugs, and her love of movies, Elvis and dancing. Her ashes will be buried at Hope Cemetery with her parents and beloved husband, and a celebration of her life will be held Friday, November 8, at the Heritage Funeral Home in Orleans, from 6 to 9 p.m. Words of memoriam at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Lorraine could be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation at Donate.
