He also leaves in mourning many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
An avid outdoorsman, he spent countless hours hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed a good game of cards.
Dad’s home was always a welcoming haven to family and friends alike.
Tea and the newspaper were a staple of dad’s daily routine as was watching sports on TV, especially the Blue Jays and the Senators.
A long-time Florida snowbird, dad enjoyed playing shuffleboard with friends, long walks around the complex, and visits to the beach with the love of his life.
Dad will be missed by family and friends, but we take comfort in the fact that he is once again reunited with his loving wife.
The family will receive condolences at Héritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd, Orléans, Saturday, February 2nd, from noon to 2 p.m. A religious service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m., followed by a light lunch.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
