In Memory of Laurianne Piquette

Surrounded by her family, on March 16, 2021, at the age of 76, passed away Mrs. Laurianne Piquette (née Chrétien), daughter of the late Carolus Chrétien and the late Claire Chrétien (Lajeunesse) and beloved wife of Joseph Piquette, of Ottawa . Originally from Lavigne, she lived in Sudbury for several years with her family and then in Ottawa.

She was the devoted mother of Suzanne (Luc), Nicole, Lina (Jean-Denis) and the adored grandmother of her grandchildren, Justin and Émilie Lachapelle, Élissa and Mathieu Cameron, Alexandre and Isabelle Racine, Gabrielle and Samuel Bernier. She is survived by her brother Germain (Pauline) Chrétien and her sisters Jeannine Savary (late Stanley), Jackie Lalonde (late Rheal), Suzanne (Maurice) Lafrenière, Marielle (Jean-Pierre) Gaudet, her sister-in-law Rollande (late Laurent ) and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Piquette family. She was predeceased by her late sister Raymond Shultz, her twin brother, Laurent Chrétien and her brother Florent Chrétien (Rosa).

She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, cousins and other relatives and precious friends.

She will be remembered as a strong, generous, and energetic woman with a strong faith. She had an unconditional love for her daughters, her grandchildren and her husband. She was the rock of her family. She was known for her warm welcome, and good food. She also had an attentive ear for anyone who needed it.

The family would particularly like to thank Nurse On Board, Stéphanie Whyte, for her support and advice during the past few months. The kindness of the team from the 5th floor of the General Hospital was greatly appreciated and the family would like to thank them from the bottom of their hearts. A sincere thank you to the entire team at the cancer center, especially her oncologists Dr. Froeschil and Dr. Goodwin for taking good care of our mom.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans on Sunday, August 8th, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. A religious ceremony will follow in the Heritage Chapel at 2 p.m.
