In Memory of Joan “nee Clarke” Harrison

Joan Harrison (nee Clarke) passed peacefully in her bed on Thursday, April 7, 2016. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Linda and son-in-law Rico. She was a loving grandmother to Jason (Kiren) and Samantha (Luke) and great-grandmother to Max, Siena and Madeline. Joan spent her early years in Algonquin Park canoeing and enjoying the outdoors. She moved to Ottawa and was very proud to serve her country as a navy plotter during the Second World War. She spent most of her adult life in Toronto and returned to Ottawa to enjoy her senior years with friends and family. She loved painting, writing poetry, playing cards, knitting and was an avid reader. She had a wonderful sense of humour and always enjoyed a good laugh. She will be forever in our hearts.
