In Memory of Jean-Louis Rioux
Hello everyone,
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Jean-Louis Rioux. Following 3 and a half years of battling cancer, our dad passed away on Friday July 20th at 67 years of age, his children by his side. He left peacefully to join his beloved wife, Nicole Pépin-Rioux. He leaves behind his children: Mélissa (Rémi Paquette), Nancy, Mathieu (Dawn Amo); his grand-children : Ewan, Georgia, Alexandra and Emma; his mother Cécile Purcell (the late Joseph Rioux); his brothers and sisters : Lucille (Gaston Ducharme), Laurette (Réal Larochelle), Pierre (the late Gaétane Paradis), Suzanne (Claude Daigle), the late René (Jocelyne Simoneau), Ginette (Gaétan Croteau), Roch (Jacynthe Paris), Guy (Manon Michaud) and Johanne (Marc Labbé); his brothers and sisters in law : Laurent (Marie-Paule Boucher), Lise, André (Suzanne Spénard), Jeannine (Paul-Émile Simoneau), Jean-Noël (Suzanne Guillemette), Paul (Chantale Leblanc) and René (Suzanne DeGuire). He was predeceased by his parents in law Gérard Pépin and Françoise Lampron; three sisters in law : Marie-Claire Pépin, Thérèse Pépin and Pauline Vigneault. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles as well as many friends and colleagues. For those who are available, we invite you all to join us in celebrating our beloved father’s life. Our father’s funeral will take place on July 28th at the HERITAGE FUNERAL COMPLEX located at 1250 Trim Road in Orléans. Condolences will begin at 3pm, followed by the celebration of life at 5pm. We take this opportunity to thank you all, sincerely, for your moral support during these past years, not only to support our father during our mother’s illness, but also for the support given for his own illness. Your prayers, thoughts and presence have been of great help to us, to keep going during those difficult times.
For those of you that so wishes, a donation in his honour would be preferred instead of flowers. Donations may be sent to The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. We would like to thank the CCAC, Carefor and the doctors Vincent, Plantive and Rioux of the Soins palliatifs d’Orléans’ team as well as the employees of the Orléans Portobello residence.
