In Memory of Gregory Arthur Cameron

It is with profound sadness that we announce Gregory Arthur Cameron passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 23rd, 2021. Greg leaves us at the age of 60, following a short battle with cancer. Loving husband and best friend to Patricia and father to Joshua. Greg will be missed greatly by his parents Leonard and Marjorie Cameron, siblings Leonard, Gary (Cindy Gervais), Shelley Evelyn (Chris Evelyn), and nieces and nephews Sarah, Adam, Melanie, and Ryan, as well as many relatives, friends, and colleagues.

Greg’s father Leonard was in the Canadian Airforce and Greg was born in 1961 in Germany where the family was posted. He later lived in Summerside, Brighton, Ottawa, Belleville and then back to Ottawa in 1985. Greg was a graduate of Loyalist College where he obtained a diploma in Electronic Technology. Over his career, he worked at Certelecom, Nerds on Site, Bell Canada, and many years as an independent IT consultant with the Canadian Government.

Greg loved the outdoors and was actively involved in many sports, including swimming, squash, ultimate, football, biking, golf, yoga, softball, and paddle boarding. Greg was also an avid skydiver with over 50 solo jumps. While indoors, he loved to read books, watch movies, play cards and videogames, assemble Lego sets and to hang out with family and friends.

His family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at The Ottawa Hospital and Cancer Centre.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Orleans for visitation on Saturday, November 27th, from 7pm to 9pm and on Sunday, November 28th from noon to 2pm. A celebration of life ceremony will follow at the Heritage chapel at 2pm with a reception to follow. Live streaming of the ceremony at 2pm will be available at www.heritagefh.ca Attendance will be restricted to fully vaccinated guests only. Advanced registration is not required however all guests provide proof of vaccination and wear a mask..

In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Tributes and condolences can be made at www.heritagefh.ca
