In Memory of Gilbert Bourdeau
It is with great sadness that the Bourdeau family announces the sudden passing of Gilbert Bourdeau on July 16 th, 2020 at the age of 74. Son of the late Toussaint Bourdeau and Béatrice Bourdeau (nee Gélinas), he was born in Vanier, Ontario. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Hélène Bourdeau (nee Gareau), with whom he would have joyfully celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this year. Devoted father of Lynn Casimiro (Antonio) and Julie Bourdeau (Éric) and cherished grand-father of Marie-Hélène Chris and Émanuella; Arianne and Sophie. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters Suzanne and Lise, and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Gilbert enjoyed life. Always cheerful, his love of a good joke and his propensity for pranks made everyone laugh. He was a generous man, always ready to lend a hand without hesitation. There was no problem for which he couldn’t find a solution and his ingenuity seemed limitless. Proud electrician, he finished his career with more than 35 years of service with the National Research Council of Canada. He was a strong advocate for skilled trades.
A mass to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday September 12th at Sainte-Marie church located at 4831 Innes road, Orléans, Ontario.”
