In Memory of Gérard Villeneuve

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gérard Villeneuve, peacefully at home, on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Madeleine (nee Parisien). Loving father of Francine (David) and Christine (Fernando). Cherished grandfather of Chris, Ashley (Kevin), Kim, Jordan and great-grandfather of Adelyn. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Jeannine, Gabrielle, Donald (Annette) and Lorraine, as well as many nephews, nieces and dear friends. Predeceased by his parents Victor and Célina (Levesque), his daughter Lucie and siblings Albert, Cécile, Ovila, Adrien, Lucienne, Claudette, Marcel and Omer. He leaves behind loving memories to be forever cherished. Gerry will always be remembered lovingly as a warm, generous, kind-hearted man. He was so loved and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the great care and compassion shown by Dr. Richard Plantive, Dr. Daniel Vincent and Dr. Lindsay Flynn as well as the many nurses from Carefor.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans, on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. as well as on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral ceremony will be held in the Heritage Chapel on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
