Passed away peacefully on May 6, 2023 at the age of 76 years old. He was the son of the late Aurèle Breton and the late Noëlla Breton (nee Labelle) and the beloved husband to Janet Breton (nee May). He leaves in sadness his children Tracey White (Gary), Sandra Lowry (Steve) and Kevin Breton (Maria). Adored grandfather to Rebecca (Sean), Lauren, Nathan (Jessica), Thomas, Curtis, Maya, Kaity (Derek) and great-grandfather of Ayla. He leaves in sorrow his sisters, Pauline and Helen and his brothers Richard and Guy, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by multiple brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held of the privacy of the family.
In memory of Mr. Breton, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

my deepest sympaty to you and your faily
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family.
My condolences and deepest sympathies for your loss.
Uncle Gerry brought many smiles to us all.
Dear Robin, kids and grandkids: Gerry was a wonderful man, and I share your great sorrow in losing him. The tribe of kids, grandkids and great-grandkids have been his pride and source of everyday joy…his face always showed how he felt when he spoke of you. Buck repeatedly said that Gerry was the smartest, funniest, finest person he had ever known…no contradictions, no pretensions, true and strong, a real Human Being. I hope your many wonderful memories bring comfort to all of you. Love from Vicki
Very saddened to hear about Gerry’s passing. What I’ll always remember the most is how whenever he would see me, and this goes back all the way to when Kevin I first met as kindergarten kids back in 1980, he would say “Hey Brian” and then start laughing as he prepared to tell me a joke. Even before he got to the punchline you’d be laughing along with him as he told the joke. It didn’t matter if the joke was actually funny or not, he always had you laughing along with him as he told the joke. Gerry’s infectious laugh and jovial personality will always be something that stays with me. My deepest condolences to the extended Breton family and all of Gerry’s countless friends.
Our deepest sympathies to you, your family and friends.
Sorry for your loss. I hope to see you at the celebration of life.
Dear Robin and Family: It is so sad to learn that one more loved one has passed so soon. Gerry was the wonderfully full of life cousin whose company we appreciated fully. His storytelling always brought laughter to all of us. Good memories of happy family gatherings of all kinds will remain with us because of his jovial disposition.
On behalf of everyone in our family, wishes of strength and courage to you and yours through the days ahead.
Fleurette (Flo) and Bob Delorme
Mes plus sincères condoléances à la grande famille Breton et à tous vos proches,
