In Memory of Gail “Kavanagh” Powers

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Gail Powers at the age of 77. A long time resident of Gatineau and recently an extremely happy resident of Orleans. She will be sorely missed by Franklyn, her loving husband of 58 years, her children, Debbie (Kurt), Wayne, Linda and Connie (Jon), her grandchildren, Jason (Hadja), Nick, Katrina (Mike), Sarah, Jeffery, Jacob and Matthew, her great grandchildren, Malik, Brianna, Jaxon, Aidan and Bryce and her siblings Joan (Roger), Gary (Diane) and Marvin (Phyllis). She is predeceased by her parents, Lillian (Lafrance) and Francis, her twin brother Glen (Doris) and sister Patricia (Ernie). Gail was an incredibly loving and fiercely protective mom and wonderful wife. We will miss her forever. The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd. (corner of Taylor Creek Dr.), Orléans, on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel. Special thanks to the ROH Geriatric Day Hospital Staff as well as the Emergency & ICU Staff at the Civic Hospital. Their care and attention was outstanding.
