To my dear friend. It certainly has been a long, hard journey for you and your family. I was trying to think of my earliest memory of Francois and strange enough it is his spaghetti sauce that he would send home with you when we were in college. I never had sauce with carrots in it before. Francois was a thoughtful and generous friend and we will miss him. I am here for you whenever you need me. You know the number.

Dear Family of François,
I am a friend of Linda’s. Linda has spoken to me so often about François that I feel as if I knew him. I am with you all in this hour of pain and sorrow.

So many fond memories of Francois comes flooding in. He was a good man, loved his family and friends. He took pride in maintaining a beautiful lawn, that was the envy of the neighbours. We enjoyed chatting with him while he was outdoors. Nothing animated him like discussing politics! We went to him for advice when things went wrong in the house and he always found time for us. Rest In Peace dear Francois!

We are so very sorry for your loss. Please accept our sympathies, May he rest peacefully.

No one deserves to be sick and François certainly did not deserve this fate… He was a kind man and I will always remember him with fondness. Je pense à vous tous.

Carole Cléroux (amie de Linda)

Its with a heavy heart that I write a farewell to my good friend Francois. I spent more time with Francois than anyone in the 13 years I served in Ottawa, We were together while I served in cabinet and while I was Leader of the party. We always joked that we couldn’t live without each other. The truth is he was a loyal friend to me and knew what needed to be done to keep me safe and successful in my job. He was a friend, a confidant and a protector. He was an honest, decent and kind person. He always showed compassion in how he treated people and his integrity always shined through. He stood up for what was right and spoke out if something was wrong. He was there for me at some of the most difficult times in my life as a true friend. I will miss him dearly and think of him often with his wonderful, kind smile. When my family visited me in ottawa they fell in love with Francois and still talk about his kindness. My husband JP relied on Francois as a friend and cared a lot for him, they loved to joke around and JP nicknamed him “Frank the tank” 🙂 one of the best memories JP has was when he took Francois to a Boston Bruins game bc it was his favourite team. They had a ball. Its hard to explain how much he meant to me. I have been thinking of him so much lately and had plans to come visit in the fall. And now its too late:( I’m sorry my friend. I will be thinking of you as you find your place with your parents. We will see one another again one day and have a good laugh and cry. Love you so much, Rona Ambrose

Roula & family
I am a friend of Linda’s and send my deep sympathies to you . May you find courage & peace in your memories and in the support of your family and friends.
